To create awareness among the voters for the upcoming Parliamentary elections, a long race, “Run for Democracy” organised under SVEEP (systematic voters awareness and electoral participation) by the district administration, here today.
The race flagged off from DDC office by DDC, Rahul Yadav, culminated at SK Bridge Poonch.
The motto of this race was to make the voters aware about the maximum participation in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections which are scheduled to be held on April 11 for Jammu – Poonch parliamentary constituency.
A number of officers from civil and police administration took part in the race which including Vijay baghat (CEO Pooch), Shezan Bhatt (DySP DAR), DySP Headquarters and SHO Poonch besides around 300 students from different educational institutions as also sports clubs including Shaheed Manjit Singh Memorial Volleyball Club.
