The days seemed ridden with fresh pairings and fresher plots in Tinseltown and the latest to join this league are actors Saif Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Ali Fazal who have been finalised as the cast of Pavan Kirpalani’s upcoming directorial, Bhoot Police. Confirming the news, the actors took to their respective social media handles to drop a picture of the trio. In the shared picture, Saif and Ali donned all black with black shades to give them the stereotypical look of spies or agents on business while Fatima donned an off shoulder grey top with a red line running down each sleeve. Both Saif and Ali held lighted torches in their pockets and stood in the backdrop of all black as Fatima smiled for the lens, seated comfortably on a wooden chair. She captioned the pictures as, “Ghost hunting is a hilariously spooky business! Presenting the cast of #BhootPolice #PavanKirpalani #SaifAliKhan @alifazal9 @foxstarhindi” (sic). Ali too shared the same picture and captioned it, “The team that hunts ghosts together, sticks together Meet the cast of India’s spookiest comedy, #BhootPolice #PavanKirpalani #SaifAliKhan @fatimasanashaikh @foxstarhindi” (sic).
Fatima’s last release, Thugs of Hindostan, failed to impress the Box Office, even though the action-adventure fantasy film raked in Rs 50 crore on its first day making it the biggest opener of all time. On the other hand, Saif’s rags to riches drama, Baazaar, went quite unnoticed last year.
However, the actor has Tanaji: The Unsung Warrior and Jawani Jaaneman lined up in his kitty while Fatima will reportedly be working in the sequel of 2007’s hit film Life in a… Metro.
