Shruti Haasan is celebrating her 35th birthday and on her special day, KGF director Prashant Neel welcomed the actress on board for his next action venture Salaar. In the film, she will share the screen for the first time with South superstar Prabhas. Touted to be an action-thriller, the film will be the debut of Prabhas in Kannada cinema. Highly impressed with Prashant’s KGF saga, Prabhas signed the film and will kick-off the shoot from January 29, 2021. Prashanth Neel took to Twitter and retweeted a poster featuring Shruti Haasan with the quotation, ‘Welcomed to Salaar, Have a fabulous birthday Shruti Hassan.’ The official handle of Hombale films tweeted, ”Wish you a very happy birthday @shrutihaasan We’re ecstatic to have you onboard for #Salaar.Action venture ‘Salaar’ is slated to be the next release of Prabhas after his Radhe Shyam. This film is being pitched as an Indian film and will most likely see its release in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. This also makes this film the official Kannada debut of Prabhas. On the other side, Prabhas will start preparing for his next period drama Adipurush helmed by Om Raut.
