On the occasion of its silver jubilee celebration Samooh Theatre organized a various programmes here today at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu. Pt. Sh. Sukhvir Sharma, Chief Patron All India Brahmin Organisation New Delhi, Trade Union leader, founder, chairman Delhi Labour Welfare Board, Delhi Government was eh Chief Guest while Sh. Sohail Kazmi, Ediot-in-Chief, Daily Taskeen, Patron Samooh Theatre presided over the function. A play Bhagwan Parshuram written by Pritam Katoch and directed by Ravinder Sharma, besides, a half our documentary based on the long contribution of the Samooh Theatre to the literary and cultural achievements, made by Heeramani Singh and voice over given by Mrs. Riya Yusaf eminent radio announcer was also screened this occasion. A Souvenir consisting of 160 pages having 25 years activities and achievements in theatre, literary, Cultural and social was also released on this occasion. The function was also graced by the prominent persons from in and outside of the state were the guests of honors: Sh. Ramesh Kichloo, National President, All India Brahmin Organisation, New Delhi, Dr. Agnishekher a prominent Kashmiri leader and Cultural activist. Sh. Mohan Singh president Duggar Manch, Sh. Dk kohli MD DK Films, Sh. Rajesh Gupta Ex Principal Spring Bloosom, School Bakshi Nagar, Jammu and Sh. Tarun Uppal member Anna Hazare Core Committee. Various prominent personalities form the various fields were also felicitated including Parneesh Mahajan, Chairman, N.S.M group of colleges, Dr. Sanjeev Gupta, HOD Ortho Govt. Medical College Jammu, Sh. Sanjeev Kumar, Director Sheep Husbandry, Sh. Manoj Pandita KAS, S.P J&K Police. Sh. Karuneesh Gupta, vice-president BJP, Cooperative Cell Rajeshver Singh Raju, a Theatre Critic, Jagdeep Nagra, Social activist Ravinder Sharma Director Samooh and his team. Sh. Rohit Bains and Renuka Verma, Principal and Chairman JK Convent School, Smt. Suman Sharma, and Sh. Ravish Sharma Chairperson and MD Shri Sain Charitable Trust, Sardar Inderjeet Singh SHO, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, Rashmi Malhotra and Gourav Malhotra, Chairman and Principal, Spring Dales School Krishna Nagar Muthi, Jammu and Sanjay Raina Earlies, Dr. Sudhir Mahajan, Founder Samooh while welcoming the guests Shared his expericnes about the 25 years journey of Samooh and newly formed women wing at Purkhoo Migrant Camp, Jammu which is very ably being run by the social activist Anita Chand Puri. He also paid his homage to the legends of their time but unfortunately not alive among us. He said that their contribution in the respective fields will remain there and will be recalled for the centuries to come. MS. Anita Chandpuri also gave a detail of activities by the women wing of samooh.
The artistists who given the awesome performances in the play Bhagwan Parshuram were Divashanu Raina, Sandeep Manhas, Kosar Chandpuri, Radhika Sharma, Ajay Gourav, Mukul Bains, Shiv Vohra, Akshya Razdan. Make up was Manoj (Shammi) Dammer, Costumes by Pooja Sharma and Anita ChandPuri. The Programme was anchored by MS Kusum Tickoo. The vote of thaks was presented by Dr. Kamal Sharma. President Samooh.
