A sanitization-cum-fogging drive was conducted in Ward No 20 of Gandhi Nagar area here today with an aim to contain the spread of Covid -19.
Interacting with the people of the area, Corporator Rahul Kumar said that keeping in view the seriousness of the pandemic situation there is a dire need to ramp up the initiatives towards keeping the homes and surrounding environment clean. He stressed upon the need to intensify the sanitation drives as it would help in preventing the spread of the dreaded virus.
Amid Covid-19 pandemic, cleanliness in the surrounding is a necessity and these lains, bylanes and drainage system should be kept neat and clean, Corporator said and added that this sanitation drive was conducted to combat spread of coronavirus. “Together we can fight the pandemic.”
Corporator Kumar appealed to all the people and residents of Ward No 20 to adhere to all Covid-19 SOPs and follow the guidelines and instruction issued by the administration from time to time to stay safe and help in containment of the deadly virus. He also appealed to all Ward residents to stay safe and take good care of themselves and their family amid the surge in Coronavirus cases.
Asserting that in the present situation there is a need for putting extra effort to keep the environs clean; Kumar assured the people of the ward of full support and providing every required facility in this hour of crisis.
He also appealed to the people to proactively participate in the vaccination drive in large numbers at their nearest vaccination centres.
He urged them to adopt Covid appropriate behaviour as all the initiatives will cumulatively help in breaking the deadly infection chain at the earliest.
