The mother of all languages – Sanskrit is acknowledged all around the globe and when more than 70 countries are teaching Sanskrit officially , then why the students of Jammu Kashmir are deprived of Sanskrit language ? – this thought was raised by Dinesh Kamath – Sanskrit Bharitya All India Sangathan Mantri while addressing – Regional Sanskrit conference held in Brigadier Rajinder Singh Audiotorium Jammu University .He also said ” In all Indian Schools , there is three language formula , then why not in Jammu and Kashmir . Priya Sethi – Former Minsister for Education J&k was the chief Guest who inaugurated the first session of this conference . Meenakshi Kilam – Registrar of Jammu University and Dean Keshav Sharma were Guest of Honour. Prof . Ram Bahdur SHukla – Sanskrit Department (HOD) Jammu University also Addressed the audience and requested the authorities to create a Sanskrit Academy in J&K.. The key speaker was Jai Parkash Gautam – North India Secretary Sanskrit Bharti .During the first session an exhibition on Daily use items name in Sanskrit , Science in Sanskrit , Manuscipts and vedic literatue was displayed and a huge number of School students especially from Balgran , Ujjala School ,Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan Kot Bhalwal , University students ,Research Scholars , Prominent Citizens general, Sanskrit Lovers and public visited and appreciated the exhibition .
Exhibition was inaugurated by Swami Hridyanand Giri .
Two Books Of Prof. Ved Ghai and Sunil Datt were Also Released in this Session.
Justice G. D Sharma- Patron Sanskrit Bharti delivered the welcome note and State President Sanskrit Bharti – Dr Vishavmurti Shastri addressed the audience in the first morning session .
An interactive session happened during second part of the conference in which Dinesh Kamtah – All India Sangathan Mantri answered the questions raised by the audience .
A Sanskrit Cultural Program of two hours enthralled the audience with different cultural items like Songs , Dance performance , Drama etc . A famous filmy dialogue from Bolywood blockbuster Sholay was delivered in Sanskrit – and amused the audience .
In third concluding session Mayor – Jammu Municiapal Corporation was the chief Guest, Vice chancellor – HP Central University Dharmashalla Kuldeep Chander Agnihotri and V.C – SMVDU Sanjiv Jain were Guest of Honours. The Main speaker was Dinesh Kamath – All Indian Sangathan Mantri – Sanskrit Bharti .In this session State secretary Purshottam lal Dubey delivered the vote of thanks .
To make this event a grand success , Prant Sangatahn Mantri Dalip Chandervanshi , Convener Anil Swaraj , Publicity Incharge Dr Pramod Shukla , Om Parkash Bhuria , Sanskrit teachings Head Arun Sharma , Finace Head Vinay Jamwal , Chander Sharma, Mahnagar -Vistarak Himanshu Ghelot , AJay Sharma , Brijender Sharma , Ved Parkash , Shreyansh Jain , Parveen Sharma and many others played a vital role .
