Gurdeep Singh Sasan Chairman Children’s Welfare Society sat on Dharna with 10+2 Contractual Lecturers at Exhibition Ground Jammu who are on hunger strike for last 20 days.
Expressing his solidarity with the sufferers of Govt. tyranny, he castigated the BSP, PDP Govt. for adopting discriminatory attitude towards the Govt. Contractual Lecturers by leaving them at the mercy of God, whereas contractual doctor and Agricultural Officers who were appointed on contractual basis after them are regularized. Addressing the gathering Sasan flayed the Govt. for its failure in redressing the grievances of the people and have totally failed to generate employment avenues for the educated and skilled youths. He alleged that the Govt. has proved to be failure on all fronts and is playing a dangerous game by playing with the sentiments of the people by dividing them on communal and regional lines. The so called paragon of progressive politics have taken retrogressive steps thereby disappointing the people who were having too much expectations from them. Their holoslogans before the election proved to be false and masses feel frustrated, disappointed and cheated.
Sasan assured the teaching fraternity that the whole society stands with them at this crucial juncture and will leave no stone unturned to get their issue resolved. Prominent among others who accompanied and sat on dharna with Mr. Sasan includes Gagandeep Singh, Anil Kumar, Jatinder Singh, Jagpal Singh, Sunita Gupta, Naresh Sharma, Baldev Singh etc.
