In order to review the supply of water and power in scorching summers in various areas of Jammu West Assembly segment, Former MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) visited Ward 35 of the constituency and reached out to hundreds of inhabitants during his visit. He was also accompanied by Corporator Ward 35 Yash Pal Sharma (Mantoo), State Secretary and Incharge Jammu West Praduman Singh and several other people including inhabitants of the ward.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that the visit in the ward brought lots of results as people chalked out their several demands. He said the power supply in the ward is up to mark as some time back, a power station was setup near Bread factory which has catered with the needs of thousands of inhabitants of Ward 35 and other adjoining wards as well.
He stated that as far as water supply is concerned, there were several areas which were facing shortage of water for which complaint has been passed to concerned authorities of PHE to look into the matter seriously and it has been said to them that every day the water supply must be opened for a long time so that inhabitants are satisfied and can cope up with their basic necessities, he added.
Yash Pal Sharma said that there are many works which are pipeline and will be executed in coming days concerning infrastructure in the Ward and such works include construction of lanes and drains and Blacktopping of some lanes that are kept on priority and with the efforts of Former MLA, such works will be taken up in coming days in order to avoid public distress.
Ward President Shamsher Sharma, Sanjay Bhat, Bunty, Arun Bamzai, Yog Raj Koul, Sandesh Dogra, Joginder, Manohar and several others were also present during Former MLA’s visit in the ward.
