Former Minister and Ex-MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) started construction works of lane at Patta Chungi area of Ward 41. Sharma was also accompanied by a large number of people including State Secretary BJP and Corporator Ward 41 Sanjay Baru, District President BJP Ayodhya Gupta, JMC (Jammu Municipal Corporation) officials, local residents and political activists of the area.
The works will be done under the supervision of JMC at an estimated cost of Rupees 5.25 lakhs and laneat Patta Chungi area will be constructed under the same. Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that it was indeed a long pending demand of the inhabitants of the area as earlier works pertaining to laying of new water pipes were taken up by the PHE department for which funds amounting to Rupees 18.5 lakhs were sanctioned under the CDF (Constituency Development Fund) scheme during his tenure. He stated that there was unavailability of fresh water in the area and that is why keeping interests of public on priority, works of laying new pipes were done and now the areas are supplied with uninterrupted water supply and fresh drinking water which was a dire necessity for the inhabitants. He also stated during laying of new pipes, lanes were dug by the concerned department which also created mess for locals and commuters passing by and concerned officials of JMC were asked to take up the construction works of lanes in the area.
Sanjay Baru and Ayodhya hailed the proactive approach of Former MLA and thanked him for the efforts induced by him to make Ward 41, a developed and clean ward. He also stated that it was a long pending demand of the residents and with the efforts of Former MLA Jammu West, the works are now being taken up by concerned department so that best infra could be provided to the people without any problem. He also stated that in coming days, more developmental works will also be taken up in the ward which were recommended by Former MLA and these works include many big works as well which will solve the overall problems in the ward.
