Sate Pollution Control Board conducted the Public Hearing on “Shiv Khori Passenger Ropeway Project” at Village Ransoo,Distt. Reasi for Environmental Clearance from MOEF/Govt. of India. In the light of Environment Protection Act -1986 ,as per EIAC notification of 14 sept.2016, Public Hearing has been conducted at Shiv Khori Shrine Base Camp,Tourist Reception Centre Ranso to know the views of general Public of the adjoining area about the project, where Additional District Development commissioner Reasi, Sh. Ramesh Chander chaired the function and Dr. Yash Paul Sr. Scientist, State Board Analyst represented the Regional Director State Pollution Control Board Jammu.
More than 500 Locals of the area including Public representatives, Sarpanches, Naib Sarpanches, Panchs, Numbardars , Senior citizens, Ladies and Local youths of the near by villages, Ranso, lower kotla, Upper Kotla, Sangat and adjoining area witnessed the public hearing and raised their views and concerns with regard to this passenger Ropeway Project.
Harbans Lal(AC-R)Executive officer Shiv khori Shrine Board, Sh.Rajesh Baru, Tehsildar Poni, Sh.Ashok Sharma Naib Tehsildar Ranso also spoke on the occasion.
Additional District Development commissioner Reasi, Sh. Ramesh Chander concluded the public hearing when majority of the speakers and locals present supported the Rope way Project from village Kotla to Shiv Khori. At the end ,Sh.Angrez Singh Divisional officer, SPCB-Reasi conveyed the vote of thanks to the public present at venue.
