Senior Congress leader and former Minister J&K, Yogesh Sawhney, marked the Republic Day celebrations by unfurling the Indian National Flag at various locations across Jammu East. He attended the Republic Day ceremony at the PCC office in Shaheedi Chowk, Jammu, and participated in a flag-hoisting ceremony, joining party senior leaders and citizens to honor the day. Following the ceremony at the PCC office, Sawhney visited several other areas in Jammu East to continue the celebrations. He unfurled the tricolor at Ward 7, Vivekananda Chowk, in a ceremony organized by Ritu Chaudhary, ex-Corporator of the ward. He also unfurled the flag at Ward 16, in an event organized by Madhu, and at various other locations, bringing the spirit of the Republic Day to multiple neighborhoods in Jammu East.During his visit, Sawhney wished the people on the occasion of India’s Republic Day, emphasizing the importance of unity, peace, and progress in the country. He expressed gratitude to the citizens for their continuous support and highlighted the significance of Republic Day in strengthening India’s democratic values. Sawhney urged the people to uphold the values enshrined in the Constitution and continue working together to build a stronger and more prosperous nation.
His presence at these celebrations resonated with a sense of patriotism and community engagement, as he joined people in celebrating the 76th Republic Day. Speaking at the event, Sawhney said that on the occasion of the Republic Day, a day, when the Indian Constitution was adopted, we must renew our vows to uphold the constitutional values.
