Majalta Cricket League was today formally thrown open with thirty-six teams on Panchayat basis competing for the ace title. In the inaugural match held between Pyt. Khoon and Pyt. Plaiter. Khoon won the toss and elected to bat first and they put a target of 168 runs in 14.5 overs.In response to the said target, Pyt. Plaiter fell short of the runs and lost the margin by 18 runs by making just 149 runs in 15 overs.Prominent batting performers from Khoon were Mr. Vivek Rathore (78), Raj Sharma (40) and the star bowling performers were Danesh and Mohit who took 3-3 wickets each.The Cricket tournament was thrown open by Arjun Singh Pathania, Secretary SBSPCT in presence of Mr. R. S.Pathania, Spokesperson JKBJP, Amit Sharma, member DDC Majalta, Juhi Manhas, member DDC Khoon, Kamal Kishore Chairman Organizing Committee, Manoj Verma, Sanjeev Singh, Gurdev Singh, Raman Khajuria and other members of the management committee as well as players. The prominent citizens of the area also remained present. S.H.O Majalta and Naib Tehsildar Deot also remained present during inaugural function.
