Continuing on the noble pathway as envisioned by great visionary legend and soil of soil, Late Sh Bhupinder Singh Pathania (who was popularly called as ‘Voice of the poor and downtrodden’), 2nd free medical camp was organized at Garh-Samnabanj (Majalta) by Shri Bhupinder Singh Pathania Charitable Trust (J & K) where diagnosis, specialized treatment and medicines were offered totally free of cost to needy, deserving patients of the area. Almost 400 numbers of patients have been registered till late evening and OPD of the medical camp was going on.
A sensitization cum awareness programme was also carried out where ASHAs/Anganwadi workers/Helpers were educated and trained for challenges and issues being faced by them in the far flung areas where access to proper healthcare remains a far-fetched reality. While speaking on the occasion paid heartfelt tributes were paid to the departed leader, who sacrified all his life for the upliftment of poor and downtrodden. Being a selfless leader of the masses, he rubbed shoulders with the common man and tried to ameliorate the lot of the depressed and downtrodden in the area. Prominent among those who were present are CMO Udhampur, Tehsildar Majalta, BMO Majalta, CDPO Majalta, Anganwadi Workers, ASHA workers and some other prominent people who were present are Bishan Dass, Gopal Sing, Shiv Ram, Capt. Gopal Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Ram Chand, Romal Singh, Mohd Din, Kirpal Singh.
