New Delhi, Mar 27
The Supreme Court on Wednesday sentenced advocate Mathews Nedumpara to three-month jail in a contempt case but the sentence shall remain suspended, if he refrains from browbeating judges.
A Bench headed by Justice RF Nariman — which had held him guilty of contempt earlier this month — debarred him from practising before the Supreme Court for a year.
The bench also issued notice to Nedumpara and three others in a fresh contempt case for allegedly scandalising the judiciary.
