Jammu, May 13:
On the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Yatra, GRP team headed by Dy SP Anita Pawar, Sub Divisional Police Officer, Railway Station is conducting the security mock drill exercise at the platform and the surrounding areas at regular intervals wherein police squad frisk the passengers and conduct the thorough checking of their luggage. According to police officials, such drills will be continued as annual Amarnath Yatra is commencing from June 1. And officials of GRP are directed to remain extra vigilant in view of the security scenario of our State and day to day subversive incidents. They also informed about various raids conducted by GRP in the past to effectively curb unwanted activities in the jurisdiction of Railways Jammu including tightening noose of the pocketers and unwanted elements to control the theft cases.
