A seminar on Nasha Mukt Bharat was successfully conducted on 21st November 2024 at JIAR, Jammu, in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MoSJE) and ISKCON as part of the ongoing efforts to support the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA). The NMBA, launched under the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR) on 15th August 2020, aims to raise awareness and reduce drug demand across India.
The seminar was led by Amrit Gaur Das, an esteemed Motivational Speaker, Life Coach, ISKCON Brahmachari, and Preacher, who has also served as an ex-professor at Giani Zail Singh College. Amrit Gaur Das, along with other members of ISKCON, conducted the seminar to highlight the detrimental effects of substance abuse, especially among the youth.
He emphasized the importance of mental health, providing students with practical guidance on overcoming negativity, depression, and stress. By sharing real-life examples, he encouraged students to stay focused on their goals and avoid the pitfalls of substance abuse. His message resonated with the audience, as students are seen as the future of society, and empowering them with the right mindset and skills is crucial to building a healthier and more positive tomorrow.
The seminar was well-received, with students expressing their gratitude for the invaluable insights provided, as they pledged to work towards a drug-free life and spread awareness in their communities.
