State Football Academy (SFA) of Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council (JKSSC) celebrated its first anniversary at TRC ground Srinagar, yesterday. Minister for Roads and Buildings, Naeem Akthar was the chief guest, who interacted with the trainees comprising of both boys and girls of 22 districts who were donning variant and colourful jerseys.
Secretary State Sports Council and CEO SFA, Waheed-Ur-Rehman Para was the guest of honour. The anniversary was also graced by the International Footballer and In-Charge SFA, Mehraj-Ud-Din Wadoo, Technical Director SFA, Sajid Yousuf Dar, Executive Officer SFA, Majid Dar besides coaches and in-charges of 22 districts and technical crew of SFA.
While addressing the gathering of almost 2000 players besides SFA crew, Nayeem Akhtar hailed the achievements of SFA besides of Secretary JKSSC for the initiative.
He also announced Rs 5 lakh package for SFA and its district units for its further progress and development.
“It’s a huge achievement and SFA has succeeded to set its footprints in the field of football. That day is not so far when the people would be chanting State Football Academy’s name,” he said.
Waheed-Ur-Rehman Para congratulated the whole SFA team besides players for making this initiative successful.
