SFA U-18 team leaves for Y-League

JAMMU, April 22:
The State Football Academy (SFA) of the J&K State Sports Council (JKSSC) today left for participation in the Under-18 Youth (Y) League, organised by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) at Chandigarh.
Before the team flagged off at Srinagar, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the SFA and Secretary JKSSC, Waheed-Ur-Rahman Para interacted with the players and wished them luck for the upcoming event.
Other teams in the contest are Minerva Punjab FC, United Punjab FC, Youngsters Club, Real Kashmir FC and State Football Academy (SFA).
In the opening tie of the Group-B of the Rest of India (ROI) Zone, SFA shall take on Youngsters Club on April 25, followed by the second outing against United Punjab on April 27. The winner of the pool will likely qualify for the final round.
The team which comprises 20 members, including a boy from Jammu, is headed by SFA Head Coach, Mehraj-Ud-Din Wadoo, Assistant Coaches, Tahir and Sanjay besides team manager, Salman Mir and Physio, Dr. Saqib. The team will play under the captainship of Momin.
