Security forces on Tuesday launched a search operation after the Village Defence Guards(VDG) fired at suspected terrorists in the Kuntwara area of Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Official sources said that members of the VDG fired several shots in response to the suspected terrorists’ movement in the Kuntwara area of Kishtwar district.
“The security forces have launched a joint search operation,” they added.
On November 8, a day after the terror attack, police recovered the bodies of two Village Defence Guards (VDGs) killed by terrorists in the Keshwan area after an extensive joint search operation in Kishtwar.
The bodies of two Village Defense Guards identified as Nazir Ahmed and Kuldeep Kumar, from Ohli Kuntwara, who were abducted and killed in a terror attack in Kishtwar district.
