Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Bahu Fort Jammu organized Training programme of ladies regarding preparation of Jam, Jelly, Juices and Pickles. Jenab Gul Syed – Deputy Director Preservation, Department of Horticulture delivered detailed lecture on preparation of Jam, Jelly, Juices and Pickles and establishment of income generating units. He told to the participants that there are great benefits of timely preserving, fruits and vegetables. He said that poor people can take benefits of different schemes of horticulture department. Sh. Mukesh Kumar Canning Operator and Sh. Onkar Singh Mobile Canning attendant gave practical demonstrations for preparing Jam, Pickles etc.
While speaking on this occasion Sh. Sham Lal Basson, President All J&K Dalit Chetna Manch and General Secretary Sh. Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Bahu Fort, Jammu said that poor educated unemployed youths can take benefits of these schemes. We can save money to great extent by preserving seasonal vegetables and fruits. The ladies of Bahu Fort appreciated and said that training programme of this nature may be organsied in near future so that poor families of this area may take benefits of these schemes.
Dr. Vijay Shivgotra – President Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha, Bahu Fort, Jammu extended vote of thanks and appreciated this training programme and requested to Sh. Gul Syed – Deputy Director preservation, Deptt of Horticulture to arrange more and more training programme in Bahu Fort area so that poor people can take benefits of these schemes.
Those who attended programmes included Sh. Sham Lal Kalsi – Sr. Vice President, Sh. Mangat Ram Kalsi – Secy, Retd Col. Mohan Lal, Sh. Joginder Kalsi – Store Incharge, Rajesh Kumar (Kala) – Publicity Secretary, Sh. Vijay Kumar, Sh. Moti Ram and Sh. Dalip Kumar attended programme. More than 30 ladies participated in the training programme.
