JAMMU, April 13: Shaheen Football Club won the Senior Division Football League title of the District Football Association (DFA) Jammu outplaying Vijay Club by a solitary goal in the final played today at GGM Science College ground, here.
Rajesh Thappa netted the only goal of the match in the 27th minute of the match.
In the final, treasurer of the JKFA, Surinder Singh Bunty was chief guest. Among others present were S M Gill, Kuldeep Singh (vice president JKFA), Ramesh Chander (vice president and joint secretary), Sheikh Mehmood (president DFA Jammu), Amardeep Singh (executive member), Yousuf Don and Rajesh Sumbria.
“The final was delayed due to the State Football Championship held at the same venue,” informed Joint Secretary of the DFA Jammu, Ramesh Chander.
