Shiv kumar Sharma has been re-elected unanimously as state president of Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) – Jammu and Kashmir state unit.
The election was held under the able observation of the national secretary of Indian National Trade Union Congress Dr. Subhash Sharma who is also the President of Punjab state unit of INTUC.
The election was held at Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust Bye Pass Road Jammu on 3Rd March, 2019.
The delegates from various affiliated Unions/Associations took part in the election in which Shiv Kumar Sharma was declared elected unopposed.
The name of Shiv Kumar Sharma was proposed by Sh. Raghubir Singh Chib of Northern Command MES Employees Union and Sh. R.S. Reen of Power grid Corporation Employees & Workers Union which was seconded by Sh. Mohd. Akram malik of W.W. PHE Employees Association and Sh. Dev Karan of Indian National White Wash Painter & Wooden Polish Welfare Union and almost all the delegates participating in the process supported the proposal of his name for the post of State president of Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) – J&K State.
The result was officially declared by the central observer Dr. Subhash Sharma (National Secretary-INTUC) amid applause.
Having been unanimously elected, Shiv Kumar Sharma thanked Dr. Subhash Sharma (The central Observer) for smooth conduct of election process holding high the tradition of the organization.
After re-elected as the state president of Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) Shiv Kumar Sharma addressed the delegates and the other workers of the fraternity and praised them for enthusiasm and dedication shown by them during the process.
The Central Observer dissolved the earlier existing body of Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) – J&K state and authorised the newly elected President Shiv Kumar Sharma to form the new body of Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) – J&K state as soon as possible.
Mr. Sharma assured the workers belonging to the various fields of the working society such as; Farming, Dairy, Poultry, Labourers, Artisans (skilled classes) and those employed in various govt. Department to continue to fight for their legitimate rights as usual. Shiv Kumar Sharma assuredly appealed to Govt. to regularize all the daily wagers on priority at the earliest.
