Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty reminisced about the past as she marked 18 years since the release of her family drama Apne. On Sunday, the ‘Dhadkan’ actress celebrated the milestone on her Instagram Stories. Shilpa Shetty posted a video that included moments with veteran actor Dharmendra and her co-stars Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol from the film, as she looked back on the experience with affection. The video, showcasing emotional scenes from the movie, was accompanied by the well-known song ‘Apne To Apne Hote Hain.’ The 2007 sports drama, directed by Anil Sharma, was a landmark film as it featured Dharmendra and his sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, sharing the screen together for the first time. Although Sunny and Bobby had acted together in Dillagi (1999), and Dharmendra had appeared alongside Sunny in Sultanat (1986) and Kshatriya (1993), Apne was the first project to bring all three together in a single film. The film also featured Katrina Kaif, Shilpa Shetty, and Kirron Kher in prominent roles. In Apne, Dharmendra played the role of Baldev Chaudhary, a former boxing champion whose career was marred by scandal. Eager to restore his lost reputation, he pins his hopes on his sons, Angad and Karan, portrayed by Sunny and Bobby Deol. The movie was released on June 29, 2007.
