JAMMU, June 09:
President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association and former Joint Secretary of the J&K Sate Sports Council (JKSSC), Shiv Kumar Sharma delivered a lecture on sports and moral values among the students of Government High School Dubbi Gali in Panchari Zone of district Udhampur.
He spoke on different range of topics and encouraged young boys and girls towards building career in sports while laying stress on the moral values and cultural ethos.
He sensitized the students with regard to prevailing drug menace in the society. Recipient of President’s Medal and Deputy Chief Warden Civil Defence Udhampur, Advocate Swatanter Dev Kotwal also delivered lecture moral values and drug abuse.
To further encourage those young athletes working hard to desired results in the field of sports, six such outstanding students of the School were short listed in support with sports staff and head of the institution and then felicitated by Shiv Kumar Sharma, who is a social activist prominent sports promoter and president Senior Citizens Welfare Forum Katra (Regd.).
Among boys, Sukh Raj (athletics), Divansh Rajput (athletics) and Anuj Singh (Kabaddi) were honoured whereas in girls section, Nifa Begum, Sikindya and Naina Devi were felicitated for their achievements in the disciplines of Kho-Kho. Earlier, Incharge Headmaster of the School, Dhani Ram welcomed the visiting guests, especially, Shiv Kumar Sharma and admired his efforts in boosting the young talented students while Swantanter Dev Kotwal conducted the proceeding and vote of thanks extended by Master of the school, Sham Lal.
Prominent among others present were BJP Bhamag Mandal Pardhan Pawan Kumar Bhagat, Master Sham Lal, Mohan Singh, Behari Lal as also the staff of the host school.
