JAMMU, May 20:
President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association and former Joint Secretary of the J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma today delivered a lecture on sports and moral values among the students of Government High School Kindra in district Reasi.
He spoke on different range of topics and encouraged young boys and girls towards building career in sports while laying stress on the moral values and cultural ethos.
He sensitized the students with regard to prevailing drug menace in the society.
To further encourage those young athletes working hard to achieve desired results in the field of sports. Four such outstanding students of the school were shortlisted in support with sports staff and head of the institution and then felicitated by Shiv Kumar Sharma.
Among boys, wrestlers Vivek Sharma and Mohit Sharma were honoured while in girls Diya Sarotia and Sapna Devi were felicitated for their achievements in the discipline of Kho-Kho.
Earlier, Incharge Headmaster of the School, Ganesh Dass welcomed the visiting guests, especially, Shiv Kumar Sharma and admired his efforts in boosting the young talented students. Vote of thanks presented by teacher of school, Kanchan Lata.
Besides felicitation of outstanding sportspersons, refreshment given to other students.
Prominent among others present were Sarpanch, Bodh Raj, Ex Sarpanch, Bodh Raj, Mool Raj, Makhan Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Madan lal, Krishan Lal and Haji Bhag Ali.
