Shiv Sena activists on Wednesday staged protest against the Tehsildar RS Pura for demolishing some portion of Kabir Mandir in Village Degina Basti, Kabir Nagar Tehsil RS Pura.
Led by Sanjeev Sharma, President Shiv Sena RS Pura unit, the activists assembled in the office complex of SDM RS Pura and raised slogans in support of their demands. The protest was organized on the instructions of Dimpy Kohli, State President Shiv Sena.
Sharma said that Tehsildar on October 15, 2018, has demolished some portion of Kabir Mandir in Village Degina Basti due to the false complains of some anti-social elements. He said that the aforesaid Tehsildar had demolished the stairs of the temple with knowing the fact that the temple was constructed on private land and the land-owners has available all appropriate revenue documents related to the aforesaid temple. They expressed resentment against the Tehsildar for showing deaf ear to the demands of people of the area who were decrying for not demolishing the temple portion which could promote communal hatred among the people.
The Shiv Sena activists appealed to the SDM RS Pura to probe the whole matter and take stern action against the guilty. They also demanded that the demolished portion should be constructed at the earliest failing which the Shiv Sainiks have no other option to come on road and launch a series of protests against the administration.
Among others who joined the protest include Champa Devi, Labha Ram, Mangat Lakhotra, Rajesh Kumar and Viashav Ghai.
