Shreya Ghoshal recently looked back at one of the earliest songs of her career ‘Jadu Hai Nasha Hai’ from the 2003 film Jism. In a candid conversation with Filmfare editor Jitesh Pillai, the singer admitted that the bold theme of the film and its visuals made her feel shy when she first recorded the track.Sharing her thoughts, Shreya revealed, “Tab toh mujhe kaha tha ke imagine. Ab imagination mei he mujhe sharam aari thi. Jism when it came, the poster was very bold. It was Bipasha with that sultry big kajol eyes and a long leg. For then it was very bold. Now it doesn’t feel like that, now it feels normal. Tab zamana aisa tha ke it was not very normal to show that much skin.” Over two decades later, ‘Jadu Hai Nasha Hai’ remains one of Shreya’s most iconic songs. From reality-show beginnings to becoming one of India’s most celebrated playback voices, her journey continues to inspire. Her ability to blend innocence with intensity in her singing has made her a voice that transcends eras.
