After captivating audiences across three generations, the romance-filled saga is embarking on a fresh chapter, introducing a new set of characters and storylines. Among them is Meher, portrayed by the talented Shreya Jain, who joins the ensemble alongside Avinesh Rekhi as Sarab and Aditi Bhagat as Haniya. As the plot unfolds, viewers are drawn into a captivating clash between Sarab and Meher, two characters whose divergent paths intersect in matters of the heart.In an exclusive interview with Desi Channel, Shreya Jain opened up about her role in Udaariyaan. She said, “I am playing the role of Meher, who is Aasmaa’s (from pre-leap) daughter and Haniya’s sister. Meher’s character is strong-willed and views love as something that could potentially hold her back.” Adding about the inspiration she draws from Isha Malviya’s character, she continued saying, “I was really inspired by Isha Malviya’s character in Udaariyaan. She did a phenomenal job and. Her character turned negative in the show, and it gained a lot of popularity. Being new to the industry, the way she portrayed her character was unforgettable and commendable.”
