Shweta Tiwari, a popular TV personality recently opened about her two broken marriages and how they impacted her children. Shweta got married to Raja Chaudhary at the age of 19 and had her first child Palak Tiwari with him. She then divorced Raja at the age of 27 after accusing him of domestic violence. Shweta then decided to marry Abhinav Kohli in 2013 but unfortunately, her second marriage did not last either due to abusive claims against Abhinav. Shweta, who has a son named ‘Reyansh’ from her second marriage openly spoke about how society accepts a wife-beater and perceives a woman with exploitative marriages. “In a middle-class family, since childhood, you are told to compromise, to adjust. People tell you one-two slaps are nothing. But my mother never said any such thing. They asked ‘what will happen to the kids (if she walks out of the marriage)?’ But when I first got separated at the age of 27, I realised what can happen because as a kid, seeing your parents fight every day or seeing their father walking in drunk is worse than being brought up by a single parent,” the actor told Bollywood Bubble. She further talked about how her marital status has built a wrong image of her daughter Palak Tiwari in the eyes of the public. She said people walk up to her and say she got married twice but her daughter will get married five times. She also told that people even say that she should not marry for the third time. Shweta also talked about that her children Palak and Reyansh are her pillars of strength. She said that she is not so proud of her mistakes but she feels proud when she looks at them. Shweta said that her children are becoming stronger and learning from her journey.
