Rashmika Mandanna has finally responded to the lukewarm reception to her recent film Sikandar, which, despite crossing the Rs. 100 crores mark at the box office, failed to meet audience expectations typically associated with a Salman Khan release. Speaking to ETimes, the actress shared an honest and heartfelt reflection on the reactions the film received and how she has been dealing with the criticism.“I’m human, and it does affect me at times,” Rashmika said, acknowledging the emotional toll mixed reviews can have. “But then there are also days when I feel incredibly grateful for the people in my life who lift me up, remind me of how far I’ve come, and see the go-getter in me. Like I’ve said before, none of this was ever part of a plan. I never imagined I’d be here, doing what I love. So, to have reached this point maybe I am doing something right. And that thought, along with the support I receive, is what keeps me going,” she added.While Sikandar may not have received universal acclaim, Rashmika’s attitude proves she’s here for the long run – ready to learn, adapt, and continue making her mark in Indian cinema.
