We applaud the verdict in Asifa rape and murder case and compliment the investigating agency for doing a thorough professional job. While addressing a joint press conference of various sikh organizations J&K S. Sudershan Singh Wazir , Chairman Sikh United Front J&K, said that the historic verdict in Rasana rape and murder case is a big blow for those who were bent upon politicizing this heinous crime of the rape and murder of an 8 year old child who was yet to understand the nuances of the childhood and was brutally done to death after being kept in captivity for 3 days and being raped repeatedly in a sedate state.
Mr. Wazir also condemned unequivocally the brutal murder of a two and a half year old girl child in Meerut recently by the savage criminals who have no sense of humanity. He further said that a day to day trial should also be conducted against those responsible for this gruesome act and they should be accorded the death penalty so that it acts as a deterrent for others in future . Mr. Wazir along with representatives of other Sikh organisations extended all sympathies and support for the family of the victim .
During the press conference Mr. Wazir lauded the role of J&K State Crime Branch for conducting the investigation in a highly professional manner and also commended the prosecution wing which projected the Asifa murder case before the designated court , maintaining the highest standards of legal acumen resulting into the present verdict .
