Now that Ranveer Singh has wrapped up with Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’, the actor is all set to focus on his next. Ranveer will be playing a cop in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Simmba’ and the director wants him to be the best in shape. A daily had earlier quoted a source who revealed that the actor will be doing everything to bulk up his look.

Director Rohit Shetty’s ‘Simmba’ is the Hindi remake of the Telegu film, ‘Temper’. Considering that Ranveer has a tough character to play, a daily reported that the ‘Padmaavat’ actor will go through a massive physical transformation. And that Ranveer has already begun an excruciating workout schedule to attain a beefed-up body for ‘Simmba’. Speaking about his workout regime, Ranveer reportedly said that Rohit Shetty had already informed him about the kind of body he’d want Ranveer to flaunt for ‘Simmba’. So he quipped, “It’s time to put the blinkers on, put my head down, work hard, and acquire the body that he wants.”
Moreover, he even spoke about how his recent shoulder injury has affected his routine. He professed that it sure is a challenge for him to indulge in rigorous training for a massive physical transformation. But he added that he has gone through a transformation before when he injured himself during his shooting for ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and that he knows how his body responds.
‘Simmba’ is reported to go on the floors by June 7 in Hyderabad. The film also stars Sara Ali Khan and will hit the screens on December 28, 2018.

The reason for the delay is reported to be Ranveer’s recent shoulder injury. The film was slated to hit the screens on December 28 but due to this delay in shooting, reports have it that the film might not be able to release until next year.
However official announcements are yet to be made.
Directed by Rohit Shetty, ‘Simmba’ is an official remake of the South film ‘Temper’. Ranveer will be seen playing a corrupt cop who changes his ways after falling in love with a beautiful yet simple girl. The film also stars Sara Ali Khan and Sonu Sood.
