The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday organised a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) awareness workshop at Greater Kailash, Lane No. 5, Kunjwani, under the Jammu South District.
BJP Jammu & Kashmir State Vice President Smt. Rekha Mahajan was the main speaker at the workshop. Addressing the gathering, she highlighted the importance of the SIR exercise in maintaining transparent and accurate electoral rolls.
Speaking on the occasion, Mandal President Shri Ajay Pratap said that the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls is neither new nor unconstitutional. He asserted that the exercise has been carried out repeatedly since 1952 under successive governments, including those led by the Congress. He accused the Congress of deliberately misleading people and spreading misinformation to create fear among voters.
The workshop was organised at Mandal Kunjwani of BJP Jammu South District under the chairmanship of Mandal President Shri Ajay Pratap and Mandal General Secretary Vikram Charak, who was appointed as the main speaker by the Workshop at Kunjwani Prominent leaders present on the occasion included Naresh Jasrotia, District President;
Naresh Charak, District Industrial Cell Convenor, Jammu South. Dr. Subash Abrol, President, Greater Kailash Welfare Society; Vir Ji Bakshi, Uttar Kumar Sambyal, and Vikram Charak, General Secretary, Kunjwani Mandal.
The programme was also attended by BJP leaders Nepal Chand, Subash Sharma, Narinder Sikka, Baldev Dutta, Smt. Usha, Dr. Himaja, Smt. Satya, Capt. Jammeet, Lal Chand Verma, Akshit, Arjun, Balbir, and several other senior party leaders and workers.
