SKUAST-TAJ, NTEA-J visit RARS & KVK Rajouri, discuss issues

JAMMU, MAY 22:
The office bearers of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology – Teaching Association Jammu (SKUAST-TAJ) and Non-Teaching Employees Association-Jammu (NTEA-J) under the leadership of Dr. Vikas Sharma and Sh PDK Uppal visited Regional Agricultural Research Station (RARS) and Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Rajouri of SKUAST-J where association members interacted with the scientists and non teaching staff. Several agendas pertaining to the overall welfare, better functioning and progress of the stations / KVKs were deliberated in the meeting in which Dr. Vikas of research station was unanimously elected as executive member of SKUAST-TAJ from Rajouri Unit.
The employees of KVK & Research Station informed the President-TAJ about the shortage of scientific and non teaching staff (due to attachment) and urged to fill the vacant positions immediately via fresh advertisement.
The scientists and non teaching staff also apprised the President (s) about various initiatives, which if implemented can improve and ensure efficient delivery of services to the farmers of the region.
The President, Dr. Vikas Sharma assured the scientists and non teaching staff that their issues will be taken on priority basis with the University authorities for immediate redressal and elaborated that both the associations (SKUAST-TAJ & NTEA-J) are trying their level best to solve all pending cases of scientific and non teaching fraternity. Besides office bearers of SKUAST-TAJ and NTEA-J, the meeting was attended by Dr. Rajeev Bharat, Dr. Mahital Jamwal, Dr. Arvind K Ishar, Dr. Narinder Panotra, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Dr. Vishal Sharma, Dr. Sinha, Dr. Parul Gupta, Sh Jamal Din, Mohd. Mushtaq, Mohd. Sadiq, Mohd Razaq, Mohd. Jameel, Bhushan Kumar, Jagdish Raj, Tariq, Abdul Mazid, Ashok Kumar and others that ended with formal vote of thanks presented by Dr. Arvind Ishar.
