SMVDU Katra, 3rd July,18. Dr. Quleen Kaur Bijral, an alumni and research scholar of the School of Languages & Literature at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, has been selected as Assistant Professor Grade II in the Humanities & Social Sciences (H&SS) at IIT, Jammu.
Dr. Bijral will soon join and contribute the prestigious institute with her outstanding academic background and research achievements.
Further, Indian Institute of Technology, Jammu has promised her best possible facilities and environment for her professional growth. Dr. Quleen Kaur Bijral has also been post-graduated in the MA (English) from SMVDU during 2009-11, and she has been a topper of the batch, as reported Dr. Amitabh V. Dwivedi, Head of the School.
Until recently, the scholar has been felicitated with ‘Rasa Javedani Memorial Award’ in the Prof. Gian Chand Jain seminar hall of the Department of Urdu, University of Jammu. Notably, Dr. Bijral is a well known musician, novelist as well as columnist who regularly writes for Daily Excelsior and Greater Kashmir newspaper.
She is also a Bureau Chief of The Logical Indian, an Online Media publishing India. Recently, Dr. Quleen published a novel titled The Witch Some Witch, Partridge India, a Penguin Company which has been accepted in reputed universities of India.
