Ms. Neha Sharma, a DST Inspire Fellow, and Ms. Sumara Khursheed research scholars of School of Physics, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, presented their research papers in International Symposium on Functional Materials (ISFM-2018) jointly organized by IIT Kanpur, Panjab University, and University of Illinois at Chicago and held at Chandigarh, India during 13-15 April, 2018. During the Conference, Ms. Neha Sharma who is currently pursuing Ph.D. under the supervision of Dr. Vivek K. Singh, Assistant Professor, SoP presented her research work entitled “Elemental analysis of okra infected by root-gall nematode of using X-ray fluorescence”.
Ms. Sumara working under the supervision of Dr. Jitendra Sharma, Assistant Professor, SoP presented her research work entitled “Synthesis and optical studies of KCaVO4: Sm3+/PMMA Nano composites”.
These students of School of Physics got the opportunity to interact with eminent academicians, research scholars, scientist and industrial expertise across the globe working in the emerging fields of physics. Ms. Neha Sharma is thankful to DST Govt. of India for Inspire Fellowship to carry out her Ph.D. degree in SMVD University, J&K. Students of SoP are very much thankful to Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sanjeev Jain for constant motivation and necessary supports.
