Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) defeated Press Club Katra XI in a friendly Twenty20 cricket match played at University grounds Kakryal in Katra, today.
The SMVDU defeated the Press Club XI by 37 runs. Batting first, SMVDU made 139 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Apekshit played fine innings of 44 runs coming off 22 deliveries while Nakshatar contributed 18-ball 26. Raghav was other main scorer with 15-ball 25 runs.
In reply, Press Club Katra bowled out for 102 runs in 15.2 overs. Ajit Himalaya was only batsman face the SMVDU bowlers making highest 30-ball 43 runs. From SMVDU, Madhav Sharma and Dinesh Singh Jamwal shared two wickets each.
