Seasoned cueist, Sohail Khalid today clinched the senior Billiards title outplaying equally good Vishal Abrol 3-1 in the final, which was part of the District Billiards and Snooker Championships underway at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here.
Levelled at 1-1 at the end of first two frames of 100 up, Sohail clinched the following two to make it a 3-1 victory in the best of five game. The score: 101-45, 48-101, 101-84, 100-68.
Earlier, in the second semifinal, Sohail Khalid outplayed fighting Ishuk Choudhary 3-2 in a neck to neck contest that lasted for full five frames. Sohail turned to be lucky in this game winning the final frame by a margin of just one point. The score: 86-101, 100-60, 89-100, 101-95, 100-99.
