In its dramatic exposé under the ‘Theatre of Convenience’, Lakshya -The Aim brought another theatrical presentation of Divya-Aik Abhinetri in Mellow Meadows segment at Tulip Garden, Chatha to audiences’ appreciation.
The play was a strong sarcasm on aptitudes of theatre heroines under the gloss light who become source of attraction for men who get driven by their charms and try to fall in love with them.
The play Divya-Aik Abhinetri hits at the mentality of the male theatre workers who often strive for closeness with the successful female artists and often fall in love with them. The play also highlights the reciprocal acceptances in certain cases by the female actress who also feel comfort under such compelling circumstances.
While the play concludes to a relieving factor when the actress in a long drawn debate with the wife of a husband in love with her explains that she should not doubt the integrity of her husband to save family from disintegrating, it is finally revealed that both actress and wife’s husband were in love.
Sonam Sharma as Divya , the actress once again gave a scintillating performance gelling her histrionics with the likes of a successful actress,Varsha Bakshi , the wife was equally expressive. Sonam has recently hogged limelight on state’s milieu as a theatre perfectionist while Varsha who recently left an indelible mark in Academy theatre fest flaunted her outlook towards making of a successful artist.
The play written by Vikram Sharma was clinically designed and directed by senior director Aaditya Bhanu while Shalini Sharma assisted him in direction.
Drishti Rajput and Bindia designed costumes and makeup for the artists while Rahul Khatri , Sandeep Sharma and Rohit Saini provided the logistics .
