Certificate distribution ceremony for PMKVY RPL Yoga instructor programme was held at NITS Polytechnic, Indira Nagar, Miran Sahib, and Jammu wherein 100 PLUS candidates belonging to various walks of life were given the certificates.
Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly Sh. Kavinder Gupta was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Savinder Gupta, Coordinator SSRDP J&K & Art of Living (AOL) State Teachers Coordinator while welcoming the chief guest said Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). Individuals with prior learning experience or skills were assessed and certified under the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) component of the Scheme. RPL Yoga is a platform to provide recognition to the informal learning or learning through practice of Yoga to get equal acceptance as the formal levels of Yoga education. It provides an opportunity to receive certification from NSDC, MSDE.
SSRDP under the aegis of Art of Living is an authorized training partner of PMKVY. The MSDE conducted recognition of prior learning certification on the job role Yoga Instructor for 3 days (Yoga Orientation with assessment).
This happened for the first time in J&K state. AOL teachers and those practicing yoga for more than 1 year were eligible for this course. This certification has certified them as yoga instructor under PMKVY which is nationally & internationally recognized certification. He further said that SSRDP is also conducting short term training programs for fresh youth in Domestic Data Entry operator and Assistant Electrician Job role under PMKVY in Jammu.
In the experience sharing session the participants said that they were highly impressed and greatly benefited by the orientation conducted by SSRDP, Art of Living faculty and the excellent arrangements made for the conduct of this program by AOL Team .
