Ten days coaching (Rifle and Pistol) Shooting camp, organised by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) and J&K Rifle Association (JKRA), concluded today at SMVDSB Sports Complex, here.
In the valedictory of the special camp, Additional Chief Executive Officer of SMVDSB, Anshul Garg was the chief guest, who interacted with the campers and encouraged the young shooters while giving away the participating certificates. He also felicitated coaches, Rajesh Virdhi and NK Tiwari.
Speaking to the gathering, including parents of the campers, Anshul Garg said that such camps help generate more interest among the budding talent and help develop team spirit and mutual understanding. He further said Shrine Board was always there to encourage people by extending genuine and possible support to excel and achieve their goals.
Earlier, the chief guest and other distinguished gathering welcomed by Director Sports, SMVDSB, Ashok Kumar. He introduced the shooters with the gathering through the demonstration of their skills. In all, 48 shooters across Jammu Division participated in this camp. A detailed report of the event was also presented.
Among other special guests were president JKRA, Kuldeep Singh Jamwal, Deputy CEO, Dr. Arvind Karwani and Rajinder Singh (OSD Shrine Board).
Prominent among the gathering were Amzad Parvez Mirza (secretary JKRA), Rakesh Wazir (president Hotels and Restaurant Association), Shiv Kumar Sharma (president Senior Citizens Forum and president Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shyam Kesar (chairman Hotels and Restaurant Association Katra), MS Wazir (president DRA Reasi) and Sukhdev Singh (secretary Senior Citizens Forum).
