“Spending 600 crore on Darbar move is big financial burden on the State & wastage of Taxpayer Money: Mankotia”

UDHAMPUR, 27 APRIL: 

Reiterating the demand to stop the tradition of Darbar Move in the state after every six months, Former MLA & NPP President Balwant Singh Mankotia said that heavy amount of 600 crore would be spends every year on Darbar Move. In handout issued today,  Mankotia said that this tradition was started by Maharaja Ranbir Singh in 1872 in which Secretariat will shift after every 6 months from both summer & winter capital’s of the state because that time there is lack of transport as well as communication sources but there is no need to waste such huge amount in today’s technology era,  he added
Mankotia termed this as “Heavy Loot” in the Taxpayers money & demands that such amount should be only use for the taxpayer public of the state in term of development of the state, salary to agitating govt employees for their salary etc.
Mankotia also send memorandum to Governor of the state Shri Satyapal Malik & appeals to open permanent Secretariat in Jammu where as on camp basis in Kashmir due to the millitancy & tense situation in valley. He demands to stop this tradition as soon as possible as it is a serious issue & the wastage of such huge amount which is also a big financial burden on the state, Mankotia added
