Sports on top priority of NDA government: Yudhvir Sethi

JAMMU, June 11:
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) General Secretary Yudhvir Sethi today said that sports is on top priority of union government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and this is why Jammu and Kashmir is seeing massive infrastructural development in terms of construction of modern day cricket stadiums, sports complexes and Khelo India programmes being implemented in a big way.
Speaking after inaugurating cricket tournament organised under the aegis of Night Cricket Club at DBN ground at Mubarak Mandi Yudhvir Sethi lauded the organisers for holding matches in most professional manner where 26 teams are participating in 10 hour matches.
The BJP leader said such tournaments while will enable to identify talent amongst youngsters it will also keep out young generation away from evils of society like drugs and liquor.
He advised young players and organisers to work hard and take these tournaments to next level where such night matches are plated in MA stadium which is being prepared for such events.
The watch was played between Sanjay cricket club and Tatun Cricket Club who won the match too. The programme was organised by Deepu & Amir Among others present included Anil Masoom,Sunny Kumar, Suresh Bharti, Bhatia, Naresh Abrol, Ved Padha,Ajesh Sharma, Ravi Singh, Sunny Sehgal, Sudhir Anand, Parveen Kerni, Adarsh Kumar, Vishav Partap Singh, Rahul Kumar, Harvinder Singh, Kartat Gupta, Nitin, Vipin Sharma, Arun Sethi, Mohit and Nipun Earlier Yudhvir Sethi inaugurated the first match by batting and facing few balls amid cheers by the crowd.
The jubilant players appreciated the BJP leader for staying amongst them for considerable time and encouraging them. He was introduced to the players by the team tournament management.
Later, Yudhvir Sethi was also presented a memento ad a token of remembrance.
He assured the team organisers that everything possible will be done to take these matches to next level and if possible next tournament will be played at M.A Stadium.
