JAMMU, Feb 27:
The 11th Open School Taekwondo Championship, organised by the J&K Taekwondo Association, concluded at Sprawling Buds ICSE School, Bantalab, here today with the holding of prize distribution function. In all, 15 schools of Jammu took part in this competition involving 300 young boys and girls in different age and weight categories, a handout issued by the Association here today informed. In this two-day competition, Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Bantalab emerged overall champion. In the closing function, chairman Sprawling Buds School, Rahul Sharma was chief guest, who along with guest of honour, Subash Shastri (president NMC) presented medals. Atul Pangotra and Romesh Chander Sharma were special guests.
Interacting with the gathering of young participants, Rahul Sharma encouraged them to take part in such competitions in true spirit of sports.
He asked the Association to keep on holding similar events in near future too.
