SPS Police Training School, Kathua organizes “2nd Sports Meet for Children-2018”

SPS Police Training School, Kathua organised “2nd Sports Meet for Children-2018” in which children of PTS Staff and Govt. Middle School Saheedi Chowk, Kathua participated enthusiastically. On this occasion Mrs.Vijay Rani wife of Principal PTS Kathua, Sh.Ranjit Kanwar(SSP) was the chief guest. While speaking on the occasion “Chief Guest” highlighted the importance of games in maintaining our physical and mental fitness. School Children & Staff, PTS Staff, Wards of Police Personnel and retired police personnel also remained present during the events/games.
The purpose of organising “Sports Meet” was to provide a platform to the children to let them locate their hidden talent in sports and inculcate spirit of sportsmanship among them. The events/games which were played during “Sports Meet” include Balloon Burst Race, Hurdle Race(Fruits), Musical Chair, Spoon Race, 50 Mtrs Race, Three leg Race and Sack Race in which various children have displayed their talent, spirit, physical & mental agility coupled with exemplary discipline. After the conclusion of games/events Medals were presented to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions by the “Chief Guest” Mrs.Vijay Rani and “Guest of Honour” Headmistress Govt.Middle School Saheedhi Chowk, Kathua, Mrs.Geeta Rani to boost the morale of children.
Necessary arrangements for Drinking water, Medical Aid and Refreshment were made so that the participating children may not face any inconvenience. As a token of respect the “Chief Guest” and “Guest of Honour” were honoured by presenting mementoes/bouquets by Officers/Staff of PTS Kathua. In the last, the vote of thanks was presented by Sh.Gurmeet Singh, Dy.SP (Admn.) who appreciated all the participants, staff, children, their parents, technical staff of JKP Central Sports Team, retired police personnel, media persons etc. who made the function colourful and successful. All the arrangements for the smooth conduct “Sports Meet” were made under the able guidance and supervision of Principal PTS Kathua.
