Jammu May 16:
Shri Ram Sena on Thursday accused Governor Administration of hushing up Leh Journalist bribery case after no progress has been made after filing of FIR against BJP leaders when fact-finding inquiry into complaints that BJP leaders in Jammu and Kashmir tried to bribe the media persons by offering “envelops filled with money”, has prima facie found merit in the bribery allegations.
In a press statement issued here today, Shri Ram Sena J&K President Rajiv Mahajan said that although the complaints allege violation of the model code of conduct by BJP leaders, it amounted to a criminal offence and yet taking no serious cognizance of this shows that Governor Administration on the command of BJP High Command trying to shield accused as the case neither has been taken seriously nor wish to investigate properly.
Mahajan demanded Governor to complete investigation into bribery case at the earliest and if no serious cognizance is taken of allegations made by Leh Journalists who are guarding fourth pillar of democracy, it will be difficult to restore faith and credibility of Govt among general public as there can’t be two ways two show transparency of convenience.
Mahajan further added that had it done by leaders of other political parties, BJP would have demanded suspension of all including Governor of state. Now all eyes are on Governor to prove that his administration really practice transparency in its working otherwise it will be assumed that Governor is doing everything on the dictate of BJP High Command.
Mahajan also slammed Election Commission of India for inclining towards BJP and taking no serious action against its leaders for hundreds of MCC violations. Leh journalist bribery case is live example of their unending favours to BJP in ongoing Parliamentary elections 2019. Such an attitude of Governor Administration and Election Commission of India has badly shattered the faith of law abiding citizens of the country who hold these two institutions in high esteem being constitutional posts and termed as apolitical in nature.
He reiterated that Leh bribery case must be decided on merit as credibility of Governor Office and ECI can’t be put on stake to save leaders of ruling class.
He also expressed resentment over the “attitude and failure” of Jammu and Kashmir police and administration in solving the mystery behind the killings of Parihar brothers and RSS leader in Kisthwar.
“The police have failed to nab the culprits,” he said and demanded speedily investigation in the killings.
