Shri Ram Sena (SRS) Tuesday warned Governor Administration of dire consequences if the Langar operators for devotees of Shri Amarnath halted at Lakhanpur are not allowed to move their respective destinations within 24 hours. Addressing a press conference in Jammu Shri Ram Sena J&K State President Rajiv Mahajan expressed utter disappointment over rough treatment and unnecessary harassment of Langar operators who are a vital part of smooth conduct of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
Addressing media persons,Mahajan termed Langar operators as true messengers of Lord Shiva who are selflessly providing eatables to Amarnath yatries after leaving their families and their important assignments out of sheer devotion towards Lord Shiva. He reminded Governor Administration not to take role of Langar operators lightly as his Administration’s credibility and capability will get exposed if they refuse to operate Langars due to rough treatment.
Mahajan further alleged that Governor Administration is more focussed and concerned towards Kashmir and giving little importance to Jammu region in all respects.
He categorically said that everything else is tolerable but any step having potential to hurt religious sentiments of people of Jammu region will not be spared and will be fought tooth and nail.
In this regard he reminded Administration of 2008 agitation and appealed administration not to create any such situation forcing nationalist people of Jammu region to agitate on roads.
Mahajan asked Langar operators not to pay any toll tax at Lakhanpur on vehicles carrying any kind of goods for setting up ‘Langars’ during annual pilgrimage of Shri Amarnath. He urged them if they are charged toll tax at Lakhanpur they should approach SRS Jammu office with that slip and rest will be done by Sena. He also cautioned Govt to immediately gear up for smooth conduct of yatra and avoid any lapses on its part lest it should be strongly agitated from Lakhanpur to Banihal and if any untoward incident take place, it will be responsibility of Governor Administration.
