A demonstration was held by SRTS-VRS members under the leadership of Dev Raj Bali here on Wednesday to press their long pending demands.
Bali stated that higher authority and finance department uneasily creates hurdles and not releasing the legitimate dues of 6th Pay Commission arrears and COLA arrears since 1999 and pension benefits which comes in total Rs.16,76,49,497,00 of 742 VRS/GHS employees of J&K SRTC and are struggling for their dues for last more than 8 years.
He further said that in the ongoing struggle 38 retired members also breathed last but running governments from that period till now did nothing for us just giving us false promises.
Others who also spoke included Balwinder Singh, Surinder Singh Mohinder Singh, Shiv Kumar, BB Sharma, Gulshan Singh and Shiv Kumar.
