A Sarkar Virodh Rally was conducted on today at Press club Exhibition Ground, Jammu and marched towards the Secretariat and gheraod the Secretariat under the leadership of Sh.Dev Raj Bali President VRS Union. In the said Sarkar Virodh Rally slogans were raised against the Transport Higher Authority and J&K SRTC Management. And in this long struggle our VRS/GHS employees have been passed away as they could not afford the good treatment for want of funds and their families suffered an irreparable losses. They further highlighted their demands which include
6th Pay Commission arrears w.e.f. 15 Jan ,2006, Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) arrears since 1999, Pension benefits, Bonus @8.33% on basic pay. In the said Sarkar Virodh Rally among others those who were present included Balwinder Singh, Prem Nath, Surinder Singh, Mohinder Singh, Shiv Kumar, B.B.Sharma, Gulshan Singh, Dwarka Nath and others.
