SSP Traffic Rural holds public darbar in Rajouri-Poonch

Today in order to curb the menace of traffic violations in District Rajouri & Poonch, Mohan Lal Kaith, Sr. Supdt. of Police Traffic Rural Jammu along with DYSP Traffic Rajouri-Poonch Sh. Mohd. Rafiq held a Darbar in District Rajouri and Poonch with Traffic Police Personnel and discussed various issues on traffic for safe and hassle free movement of vehicular traffic on the roads. During the discussion strict implementation of Traffic Rules has been emphasized.
All officers/officials of Traffic Rural, Jammu have been directed to take strict action against visible offences like overloading in passenger vehicles, overspeeding/dangerous driving, drive without documents, without Crash helment etc. in their respective area of responsibility. During the visit a meeting was also held with Transporters /Agents/ Locals/prominent and other stakeholders in District Rajouri & Poonch.
They have been directed to carry all relevant documents with them and follow Road Safety rules as well as Motor Vehicle Act. Meanwhile, an interaction with the Transporters, operators of Buses, M-Buses, Sumos, Tempos etc.
were held at Bus Stand Rajouri & Poonch for better traffic management in order to curb the menace of overloading/roof topping /overspeeding in passenger vehicles. Moreover, all the field officers have been directed to exhibit zero tolerance against the violators indulging in without wearing crash helmet, rash driving, without seat belt, overloading particularly in PSVs as well as other visible offences.
Sr. Supdt. Of Police Traffic Rural, Jammu has also reiterated that crack down will be remained in place on the roads if the violation on the roads are not minimized and strict punitive measure shall be taken in order to save the lives of general masses.
Sr. Supdt. Of Police Traffic has also requested the general public to cooperate with Traffic Police and abide by traffic safety rules for maintaining hassle free and smooth of vehicular movement on the roads.
